About the team

Postman is seeking an experienced, creative, brand storyteller, Internal Corporate Communications, who will drive Postman’s message around the world to support our continued growth.   In this role, you will help reimagine how Postman communicates with employees and our external audience by developing compelling content that is fresh, engaging, with a narrative that differentiates us.  We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and thoughtful communicator to bring our corporate storytelling to life, shape our internal and external communications by prioritizing topics and narratives. We’re a small team, so you’ll be a strategist and execute by rolling up your sleeves to deliver positive results.  The ideal candidate is rigorous in execution, people-oriented, proactive, and can work towards the big picture goal. You will work cross-functionally, create and ensure our brand positioning is consistent in all of our communications including social platforms, job descriptions, internal and external communications.

What you’ll do: 

  • Develop and drive communications that engage and inspire employees around the company’s mission, core values, launches, and other priorities
  • Develop short and long-form content such as articles, emails, social media posts, social content, videos etc…
  • Develop a calendar partnering with Marketing on content and posting schedules
  • Develop and execute proactive internal and external communications campaigns that foster employee understanding of Postman’s Company message
  • Work with the Head of People Operations and other stakeholders within the company to develop communications for internal and external platforms
  • Maintain, edit and refresh content on our social platforms, internal employee pages, employee emails, and help craft and/or edit policies or handbooks

About You: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Writing, Journalism or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in developing effective communications strategies, preferably in a high-growth environment
  • 2+ years experience with storytelling, developing social media content, employee emails, and/or editing employee policies, employee pages etc.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and impeccable people skills
  • A talent for working with multiple stakeholders simultaneously and coaching people of all backgrounds and skill levels to deliver the best content possible
  • Converting challenges into opportunities, and seeing what’s on the horizon. You understand that no change occurs in a vacuum
  • A strategic mindset, coupled with the ability to sweat the details
  • A willingness to work across different time zones to ensure smooth communications around the globe 
  • Strong working knowledge of digital communication channels and processes, including Slack, G Suite, Confluence and Zoom
