The Opportunity:

This role is a part of Postman's Quality Platform team. At Postman, we subscribe to the principle that "Quality is everyone’s responsibility”. Every team member involved in product development also takes part in ensuring its quality. The Quality Platform team thus focuses on furnishing the necessary tools, infrastructure, optimized CI/CD processes, best practices, and frameworks to facilitate product engineers in refining the developer experience & productivity.

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Engineer who will lead initiatives that improve Postman’s quality platform infrastructure at scale.

What You’ll Do:

• Work with a small group of engineers to design and own processes and systems to improve the reliability of Postman.
• Conceptualize, build, and experiment with internal tooling and frameworks that will immediately impact product quality and make developers' life easy.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement by actively seeking out new ideas, technologies, best practices and methodologies that can enhance our platform and processes.

About You:

• Have prior experience (5+ years) working on large-scale JavaScript/ Typescipt applications
• Have strong fundamentals in operating systems, infrastructure, and software design
• Extensive expertise in building scalable test automation frameworks and infrastructure across Web, Desktop, and IDE Plugins
• Experience in conceptualizing and building dashboards that facilitate data-driven decision-making
• Energetic and enthusiastic with a bias for action and a track record of success in leading and delivering complex initiatives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with large-scale monorepo, microfrontends and microservices
• Experienced in using modern JavaScript tooling, including yarn, NX, Webpack, Babel, ESLint, Storybook, Jest, Testing Library, Playwright
• Experienced with ephemeral test environments and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
• DevOps experience in implementing large-scale automation stacks using GitHub Actions, CircleCI
• Experience building and maintaining reusable libraries for open-source or internal developers
