About the Team
Have you ever wondered what the world would be like if Postman were to support all network protocols? We have and we are starting to act on this, to make it a reality.
API REPL team aims to revolutionize the API space by injecting the foundational knowledge, expertise and capabilities within Postman, to support all the network protocols out there. Needless to say, it’s a challenging problem statement.
We are a lean team with focused efforts towards making the onboarding of a new network protocol as seamless as possible.
What you'll be doing:
Building the capabilities to support a new network protocol with out-of-the-box capabilities like storage, synchronization, access management and much more.
Interface with the rest of the organization to learn more about their pain points when using our team’s APIs.
Advocate better practises for software engineering by mentoring and encouraging others around you to build a quality product.
Own and execute end-to-end initiatives.
3-5 years of experience developing complex, distributed software applications at Postman’s scale
Strong knowledge of the API lifecycle, network protocols and professional experience working with two or more of the following: Websockets, gRPC, GraphQL, HTTP2/3, SOAP
Past experience working on API platforms and developer tools is a big plus.
Proven record of building & products from scratch.
Has a point of view and is comfortable and prior experience in collaborating and respectfully challenging other stakeholders, such as PM, TL, EM etc.
You enjoy learning and sharing knowledge within and across teams.
You have a product oriented mindset and empathy for the users.
