About the Team

Collections help you organize your requests for reuse so you don't waste time building everything from scratch. They help in tying requests together or automating common workflows, and you can use scripting to visualize your API responses as charts and graphs.

This team is responsible for everything to do with Collections and the tools supporting it right from Documentation to Prototyping.

We're looking for an experienced Backend Engineer that will lead our real-time multiplayer collaboration initiative, and contribute to building an improved experience for Collections.

This opportunity caters to building for millions of developers around the world with focus on reliability, scalability and predictability.

What You’ll Do 

• Design, build and operate scalable backend systems and services that would power Postman’s multiplayer collaboration product

• Optimise performance and cost of our backend services with a focus on low latency, high availability and scalability

• Lead a team of engineers to drive initiatives, improving the overall experience of the Collections product

• Raise the bar for engineering standards, tooling and processes

About You 

• You have at least four years of commercial development experience

• You have extensive experience building backend services at scale, including experience with concurrency, distributed systems and low latency throughput

• You are proficient in one or more high-level server-side languages like Node.js, Go, Python, or Java

• You have experience in leading a team in the successful delivery of major features

• You embrace a growth mindset and are ready to tackle challenges head-on

• You have great written and verbal communication skills
