Join us for a one-hour, introductory Postman learning session geared specifically for developers. We'll walk you through the basics of using [Postman as an API client](/api-platform/api-client/), getting started with testing, navigating different authorization methods, and much more.

Here's what we'll do in this session:

- Inspect and test a response

- Get and set variables

- Save example responses to a collection

- Navigate different types of authorization

- Debug and troubleshoot unexpected API behavior

Prerequisites:

- [Create](https://identity.getpostman.com/signup)a Postman account, and then [sign in](https://go.postman.co/).

- [Download and install](/downloads/postman-agent/)the Postman desktop agent, which will enable you to use the web version of Postman that we use in Postman Intergalactic sessions.
