You've versioned a Deskly collection, OpenAPI spec, and coded mock as files in your deskly-api fork. Those artifacts still live in Local View — great for builders, invisible to teammates who only open Cloud View. In this module you'll publish local elements to the Postman cloud from the UI and again with the Postman CLI, so consumers can use your Deskly work without cloning the repo.
Before you start
Complete Native Git in Postman, OpenAPI Specs with Native Git, and Coded Mocks with Native Git first. This module reuses the same public deskly-api fork, [Your name] - Native Git workspace, connected local folder, and Deskly API collection on a feature/ branch.
When you reopen Postman, Local View may show main in the bottom left — checkout your feature/ branch before the collection appears in the sidebar (Part 2 Step 1 walks you through this).
You'll also need:
- Postman desktop app — Native Git, Local View, and Cloud View switching are desktop-only.
- Git and your existing
deskly-apiclone connected to the workspace. - A public GitHub fork with your collection already pushed on a
feature/branch. - The Postman CLI for Part 3 (
postman workspace push) — install withnpm install -g postman-cliorcurl -o- "https://dl-cli.pstmn.io/install/unix.sh" | sh. See Install the Postman CLI.
