Product Engineer (Backend), Agent - San Francisco

Postmanaut using robotics to design A P I. Illustration.

The Opportunity:

Postman Live Insights is designed to guide developers, regardless of their familiarity with the monitored system or the Postman API Platform, towards efficiently identifying and resolving issues. Our aim is for developers to pinpoint problematic API endpoints within 30 minutes of account creation, enabling even newcomers to address issues as seamlessly as making an API call.

Our recent efforts have culminated in the alpha release of Live Insights, introducing the Insights Agent. This tool monitors API traffic, auto-populating a Postman collection with detected endpoints. Within just 15 minutes of installing the Insights Agent in staging or production, you’ll start seeing endpoints show up in your collection, along with dashboards of endpoint performance. Live Insights aims to be the fastest, easiest way for developers to see what endpoints they have, what’s slow, and what’s throwing errors.

You’ll be working with a Bay Area-based leadership team and a remote-first engineering team built out of the Akita acquisition.
